Hi, my name is Nora and I’d like to help your child learn to achieve their goals and gain confidence in their academic studies. I come from a large family of teachers, so you could say it’s in my blood. However, to their dismay, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Visual Arts & Marketing. I guess I should have listened to my parents, because I just LOVE kids! I have a lot of experience working with children including as a Teachers Aid, Nanny, Tennis Coach and most recently as a Psychological Social Rehabilitation worker for children. As most of us know children learn in a variety of different ways. I believe by reshaping or restructuring the learning process, with patience and guidance, all children that struggle can become successful long-term independent learners. I feel confident in tutoring all subjects from Elementary to Junior High and High School. Specifically: Algebra I & II, Geometry, Science/Biology/Chemistry, English, History and basic K-6 (my favorite). I am punctual, reliable, friendly, organized and of course always professional. Location may vary depending on subject matter or environmental distractions, but the majority of tutor sessions will take place at the student’s home, school or local library.
