I starting teaching Jr. High after graduating college, and I continued to do so for several more years. I taught English, social studies, art, math, history and science (I have multiple majors and minors, with teaching certificates). Then I changed career paths to business, finally establishing a large photography studio. While being a professional photographer, I felt my calling to teach again, and so I began teaching photography to people of all ages and abilities in a variety of venues, from private studio instruction to college classes. I was very successful, as I made the learning as ‘hands-on’ as possible – and, most of all, fun (I have a wonderful sense of humor). ! I have continued to teach for 35 years, helping hundreds of people learn and achieve their goals. I would love to pursue helping people achieve whatever their goals through MeetATutor...... I will be patient and encouraging. I have developed these attitudes through my many years of experience and dedication to achieving desired results. I am very knowledgeable in what I teach, as I learn new things every day and will respect your insights and will try to expand and develop your abilities. My primary goal is to make you successful. For those in Portland, we are conveniently located about 8 minutes south of downtown Portland, 7 minutes from Washington Square, and 20 minutes from Clackamas Mall. Our instructional area is quiet, comfortable (air conditioned in the summer), and we are very friendly. I can also travel to your site, usually for $5.
