My name is Ben Bachus, and I am finishing my studies as a graduate student in clinical psychology at NSU. While my degree is not in mathematics, I have always had a passion and skill for learning and teaching math. I can also draw upon what I have learned as a psychologist/course facilitator to try and find what will help you learn most efficiently. I have worked with individuals with a wide spectrum of cognitive processing abilities, ranging from the gifted to cognitively impaired/disabled. One of my strengths is my ability to detect and tailor my work to the strengths of the student, while being aware and supportive of their emotional reaction to math (I know most people don't get along with numbers!). I work hard but also try to make math relevant, fun and interesting. My flat rate is $25-$35 an hour, depending on commute. I am flexible with this, and will come to you. I can meet in a public places like libraries, coffee shops, etc. as well.
