Tutor in Pembroke Pines, Florida

I'm an
Individual
Personal Tutor in English, Science, History and other subjects. (Not Math) I am a student at FAU earning my BA in Secondary Education in English with ESOL endorse. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and am willing to take all students in different grades as well as higher education students or immigrant students wanting to learn English. You must bring your own materials and pencils for the sessions. I do have some books but I probably wont have the books that the schools have so it is recommended to bring your school books if you have them in the subject(s) you or the student is having trouble with to the sessions. Recommended: - 2 hours. - Bring own supplies (pencils, books, homework, ect.) I work from my house, or the library on Sheridan, depending if the student can work in an environment that has people moving around. I accept both text messages and phone calls. Please only serious offers. Hourly Rate: 20$ collected at the end of each lesson/session. About myself: I am 25 years old. I am Venezuelan and have been in the country since I was 9 years old. I am bilingual and can speak both languages perfectly. I live with my mom currently and have two dogs and one cat. I am working on my BA at FAU in secondary education with ESOL endorsement. I want to be a teacher for secondary education and later get my Masters as well as my PHD. My personal opinion is that students need to be given the opportunity to learn properly. There are many students that have different levels of understanding and the school system sometimes does not work for them. Most of the time students need to re-learn the basics to understand the more complex works. My specialty is writing and reading. I can sit down with the student and help them understand the works and give them essential guides so that they understand future assignments. My goal for my students is to give them the necessary skills to continue their education without any future problems they might encounter. I've had previous students of all ages and if necessary I can get their references if you so wish. I have no problem answering any questions you might have. As with everything time is key. Results appear usually after a month of being tutored for 2 hours at least twice a week. My favorite comparison between learning is losing weight. You aren't going to see the results right away but give it time and you'll be able to achieve what you are striving for. Again, only serious offers, please. - Alegna Lara
