My name is Celia Guzi, I am currently a senior at Augsburg College, majoring in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in film. My favorite thing to do has always been reading, and my mother (a fourth grade reading teacher) did a good job of making sure I was read to every night. My favorite book series is His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman. I believe that reading teaches you how to think for yourself, and in the incredibly fast-paced, technology obsessed society we live in it is extremely important to encourage the dying hobby of reading, as it teaches kids to pay attention to one word at a time. I like working with people of different ages and backgrounds (sociology teaches me how to work with people of different cultures), and I am naturally good with children. I believe I take after my mom in that way.
