BCBA Services currently has an employment opportunity for an ABA Tutor in the Monterey-Salinas area with a start date of August 1, 2014. This is a part-time opportunity for approximately 20 hours/week in the afternoon after 3pm. BCBA Services continues to grow! Our team provides ABA treatment to clients ranging in age from 2 to 21 with a diagnosis on the autism spectrum in the greater Los Angeles and Monterey-Salinas areas. Services are provided in the client's home and community. All of our leadership and supervisors hold BCBAs or BCaBAs and work closely with clients and staff to promote growth and development. BCBA Services is a great place to earn Supervised Independent Fieldwork towards your BCBA certification. Our ABA Tutors receive paid training before taking their first case and receive ongoing training to continue to develop their skills. Our clients receive ongoing assessments and extensive parent training. Our treatment is individualized for each client as well as data and research driven. BCBA Services is different - All of our ABA Tutors are self-employed & independent contractors. Benefits Include: 1. Primary Responsibilities for an ABA Tutor: ➢ Responsible for direct services with the client. ➢ Implement individualized behavior plan and programming strategies designed by supervisor. ➢ Utilize ABA principles including discrete trial teaching, incidental learning, shaping, chaining, differential reinforcement, etc., under the direction of supervisor. ➢ Provide social skills training, and generalization of skills into school and community settings. ➢ Track progress and behaviors using specified data collection methods during every session. ➢ Take session notes and maintain and graph all data. ➢ Maintain program book and all materials for programming. Minimum Qualifications for ABA Tutors: • ABA Tutors must meet one of the following: 1. 12 hours of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development, or related fields and currently enrolled in course of study leading to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree by an accredited college or university, OR 2. 48 hours of college coursework in an accredited college or university, OR 3. Be a high school graduate or GED equivalent and completed 500 hours of employment providing ABA services. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must pass all background investigations required by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to include State and FBI criminal backgrounds checks and CPS check. • Tutors must own and utilize an Apple iPhone or iPad to collect data and maintain communication with the BCBA Services team.
