Hello friends interested learning Japanese! My name is Alex Holmes, and I am currently offering my service as a private tutor for anyone looking to begin learning Japanese as a second language! Finding resources to learn Japanese can be frustrating and expensive. As a private tutor I will be flexible with YOUR schedule and what you can afford. You will learn the skills necessary to speak/write with confidence and to advance your fluency on your own. I have been studying Japanese for over a decade. I began my journey with a private tutor and went on to studying formally at Metropolitan Community College, Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and Sophia (Jouchi) University in Tokyo. I finished my undergraduate studies in 2014 with a BA in Asian and Pacific Studies and a minor in Philosophy. As such, I have learned many techniques to quickly and fluidly teach Japanese language, culture, religion/philosophy, and ideology. Learning a new language is fun and interesting. It is the perfect activity for keeping your teen's mind sharp/active over the summer.
