Tutor Job in Rimrock, Arizona

Creek Elementary School is in need of highly qualified tutors starting December 1st, 2014. This rural, single-school, school district is the 2014 recipient of the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant from the Arizona Department of Education. The purpose of the grant is to provide the necessary academic assistance to at risk students who struggle in the classroom. Tutoring is one hour a day, three days a week from December 1st to May 24th, 2015. 1st-8th grade tutors are needed, class sizes not to exceed 10 students. Tutors must have: Primary or Secondary teaching degree or certified substitute certificate Current fingerprint clearance card A reliable mode of transportation A positive attitude A desire to help at risk children *Opportunity for summer school tutoring * All Federal Holidays off *Opportunity for other teaching positions within the program beyond tutoring (based on interest) Tutor responsibilities: Maintaining an academic tutoring session Maintaining student folders Progress monitoring Submitting Attendance Mandatory reporting Attending mandatory meetings and conferences for tutored children Writing and submitting quality lesson plans Maintaining a professional appearance Flexibility and the ability to accommodate student needs Being a Role-Model Compensation: Tutors will be paid Bi-weekly $20 per hour
