I have always had a passion for teaching and mentoring. I recently graduated with magna laude honors from Texas A&M University, where I majored in biomedical sciences. Much of my passion for science and discovery comes from my years of experience with chemistry research. This helped me to excel in my Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems section of my medical school admissions test, where I ranked in the 90th percentile. During my undergrad, I also spent a good amount of my time tutoring my fellow peers. I also worked for three years as a coach for a summer swim team for beginners under the age of 6 all the way up through advanced swimmers over 15. I have found that I enjoy teaching others and working to change my teaching style to match their learning style. I am currently taking a year off while I apply to medical school and would like nothing more than to spread my passion for education. My goal is to inspire others to hold the same passion for learning as I do.
