Alberta Academy of Recording offers an intensive 12-week (200 hour) course available to students with all levels of experience. We also offer tutoriing and custom lessons for audio engineering and music production.  We differ from other programs in that we teach within the environment of an operating, full-service, world-class recording studio complex, and video production studio. There are no prerequisites for the course, but we find that students with some kind of musical background or training tend to score higher. Our goal is to create a graduate that has the drive, focus, manner, expertise, and creativity necessary to succeed in the industry. Our students train on the finest equipment available today and receive personal attention due to small class sizes. We utilize a proven combination of half theory and technical instruction, and half 'hands-on' training. Our program focuses on developing the knowledge, skills, and technical expertise required to achieve successful employment. Curriculum topics include: the business of music, mixing, mastering, recording, studio design, live sound, MIDI composition and much, much more! We use a proven combination of half technical instruction and half hands on training, with a strong focus on the knowledge, skills, and technical experience and expertise required to achieve success Hands on recording, mixing and mastering sessions for every class are tailored to the specific interests of the attending students, and will usually include everything from Hip Hop & Electronic Music Production & MIDI composition to Foley & Commercial recording as well as Rock and Roll & Metal We offer financing in part or in full, as well as payment plans to accommodate every budget  We also offer on going and continuing support for all of our students, and will do our best to assist in finding placement within the industry for deserving candidates  Because of our small class size ( 4 students ) Pre-registration is encouraged. We usually take a $500 deposit, with the balance of $3495 due before the start of the course.?
