I am an Australian Masters Qualified Elementary Middle School teacher with 6 years of experience working with children between the ages of 5-14. Before leaving Australia, I was an Elementary Middle School Classroom Teacher working with children from all over the world across all subjects. I work one-on-one with students of every level helping them to progress through their learning needs in the following subjects: - Reading (including vocabulary, guided reading levels, fluency and comprehension) - Writing (including essay writing, structure, grammar, punctuation and handwriting) - Mathematics (including understanding why maths works in a particular way, multiplication, addition, subtraction, division, algebra and fractions/decimals/percentages) - Specialty Mathematics (extending children to work above their grade level in Mathematics - working towards high school mathematics and more complex mathematical concepts) - Speaking and Listening (including speech writing, preparation for presentation, listening and responding appropriately to stimulus) - Science (including all scientific understandings, scientific methods and tools and writing lab reports) - Social Studies (including history, geography and economics) - Inquiry Based Learning (understanding the world around them by exploration of real world topics and application of English, Maths, Science etc through real-world situations) I am very flexible on meeting times and can meet to discuss learning requirements prior to beginning tutoring sessions.
