Tutor in Portland, Oregon

Hello! I'm Jacob Finkelstein, a junior math major at Reed College. Math is one of my greatest passions, and I’ve wanted to teach it to others since high school, so much so that I hope to become a professor someday. However, given that I’m still in college, I decided to start tutoring during my second semester as a freshman to get a sense of what teaching might be like. I volunteered as a math tutor at Franklin High School from that point until the end of my sophomore year, but now I’m looking to expand my horizons to the private sector. I can provide some college level tutoring in both math and physics, given that I see physics as applied math for the most part. I am well-versed in high school math and physics, but I can also provide some introductory tutoring in chemistry and biology at the high school level as well. I am willing to provide 3-4 hours of tutoring per day during the week in person or online, whichever best suits the needs of my clients. I am excited to meet clients where they are as long as they are inquisitive and willing to learn.
