Tutor in Sherwood Park, Alberta

After graduating from the University of Victoria in June 2019, I have recently relocated to Sherwood Park after continuing my studies in Germany for about three months. I love learning, and sharing that learning with others is one of my absolute favorite things. I am comfortable teaching math, science, English, music, and history from elementary grades to high school or beginning university level. I am also happy to work with adult and home-schooled students. In high school, I studied Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology up to grade 12 and received a Governor General's Bronze award for top overall academic average in my graduating class, so I feel comfortable with teaching any math and science subject. In university, I also took first-year first-semester Calculus so I would feel comfortable teaching first-year math as well. I learn quickly and am happy to research any concepts that are new to me in advance of a given session. In high school, I also studied AP English Literature and Composition and AP English Language and Composition and received the highest marks possible on the exams, so I would be happy to help with reading comprehension, essay writing, and any other English concepts as well. While I was in Germany I reached about a B2 level of language proficiency according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages, so I would also feel comfortable providing help with learning German as a second language, with learning English as a second language, and with study tips in general. Upon completing my university degree, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance with distinction, and have spent the past four summers teaching music at a cadet summer training center, so if you would like help with playing a brass instrument, singing, playing piano, or learning music theory, I would be happy to help! Since moving to Sherwood Park, I have been working as a tutor with the company Tutordoctor, working with a whole range of students primarily in math and science, and am now looking to expand my student base.
