I'm an
Individual
Hi, my name is Shilong. I am a role model student, consistently achieving top marks in all my classes, and dedicated to the supporting of other students. I believe a good education is essential to living the life you want to live. Everyone learns at different speeds, but that's not necessarily bad, people who take things up slower tend to have a more solid and workable knowledge of a concept once they do figure it out. I enjoy helping others anyway I can; contribution to my community and the success of others are the most defining factors of my life. Although I have no professional training, I have a wide range of teaching skills and methods acquired through careful observation of teachers and other instructors. I consistently offer help to any classmate that asks for it, and I reliably provide a solid solution that indirectly leads them to an answer. I've never turned down someone who asked for my help. Even if I cannot directly answer a question, I can provide guidance for someone to follow a path towards the answer. Because everyone is special and unique in their own way, I rearranged my personality around reading a person and behaving in way that can make them feel safe and comfortable enough to focus on studying and improvement, not awkward interaction. I am patient enough to give a person plenty of time to really think about a concept to understand it thoroughly before proceeding. While some people are naturally disinclined to sitting down and staring at pages blankly for hours on end, I am capable of naturally guiding attention and focus back towards the work at hand. My learning assistance methodology involves indirect suggestion towards a pathway of a solution, so that a person may make the discovery of a concept on their own, so as to feel better accomplished and encouraged. I know for a fact that because school teachers must deal with upwards of 30 students at once, they often teach a lesson in a way that doesn't really make sense for a lot of the class, and that's where I accumulate my experience helping other students. I speak clearly in terms and metaphors that make sense to students in our time, not words from 4 decades ago. My ability to explain things more clearly to people in younger generations is a critical part of my skill set. If you've read this far into my informal essay I'd like to thank you for caring so much about education. Take a quick look away from the screen for a second. I promise no more long winded speech.
