I have references available upon request, and can tutor most any subject, elementary and high school level. Sorry, guys, never reach calculus! I've tutored many people while I was in school myself. In 2 weeks, I brought someone who didn't understand Math from an F to a C grade at the final. I tutored my own brother throughout his Math class; the first year (without tutoring) he dropped out because he couldn't understand it. The next year, since it was a required class, I tutored him and he finished with an A in the class. What sets me apart from other tutors and teachers is my patience, as well as my willingness to find an explanation that works for you. There is more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes, and that is true in any situation. If one explanation does not work for you, there's another way to explain it so it does.
