Affordable Tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, and Physiology. I am an experienced secondary school teacher with a Lifetime Certificate in the State of Texas for Chemistry and Biology. I have also taught Freshman Chemistry at the college level, while getting my Master's Degree. I am an extremely patient person who believes that any one can learn - even the most difficult topic in Chemistry - provided it's explained in a way that you can relate to. One on one teaching - without the usual classroom distractions - is the most effective way to teach. The actual motivation to learn is the most difficult thing to teach, but it is not impossible. My rates are reasonable - $20/H, and I will drive to the location of your choice provided it is quiet and conducive to learning. In other words, you will get the most for your money if the TV is off during my lesson sessions. My last student was a 7th grader who was more interested in watching cartoons than learning Biology. By the time we were finished building her Science Project she could see how the wavelength of visible light influenced the growth of her plants and could explain the electromagnetic spectrum's relationship to photosynthesis to an audience of Science Fair judges.
