Tutor in Georgetown, Texas

Hello, my name is Spencer Somerville. For the last 8 years, I have been a high school Math teacher in Texas, teaching both regular and pre-AP level classes in Algebra and Geometry. As of this year (2013), I have voluntarily retired from teaching to pursue other career paths; however, in the meantime, I am looking to work part-time as a Math tutor. My teaching certificate is for Math 8-12, but I can handle younger ages as well. Currently, my wife and I live in Georgetown, TX; so I am looking for work in the Georgetown/Round Rock/Leander areas Many of my former students have told me that my class was the first Math class they ever enjoyed, because: A) I try very hard, involve conversation and laughter during class, and because; B) I try to present lessons in a step-by-step manner that reflects the thought processes of someone who does not have a strong math background. I understand that Math can be intimidating and frustrating, so I do my best to walk through each problem at a speed that you, the student, are comfortable with.
