Are you or your child going to be starting an Advanced Placement History course this coming year? Scared that you may have gotten in over your head? Look no further for any help that you're going to need! My name is Jordan and I am a Senior Biology and History Major at the University of Arkansas. I received 5's on Every AP History test that I have taken, including the tests in courses I didn't even take in school! When I got to college the Dean of the Honors College placed me in Senior level coursework during my Freshman year. Not only do I have personal experience in how to take the AP Test for these courses, I was instructed by an AP Test Grader. If those two things weren't enough, I have tutoring experience. I have tutored two AP World History Students and one AP US History Student in the past, and they all passed with 4's! I specialize in preparing students how to write the essays, which is where students will be able to make up any points from the inherently difficult multiple choice portion of the test. I will go over what they learned in class adding insights and understanding that just is only feasible in a one-on-one atmosphere, while also teaching them how to make connections between historical events instead of just memorizing dates and names, which is exactly how you earn your way to passing the AP Test. Not only that, but on the week before the AP Test I will offer a two-for-one hourly rate (minimum of two hours to apply and on a first-come-first-serve appointment basis, also subject to my final exam schedule). All tutoring sessions will be held in public, learning conducive environments such as public libraries or the UofA campus. Parents and Guardians are welcome to attend as many sessions as they would like to see exactly how I work with their child or for comfort reasons. I will be unable to travel outside of the city of Fayetteville.
