Tutor in New York, New York

My name is Chiara Nodari. I am a sophomore in college currently taking a year off to work with the non-profit City Year. City Year is an organization that seeks to end the dropout crisis by putting young people into under resourced schools and helping in the classrooms. As such, I work in a 6th grade classroom full-time tutoring kids in a variety of subjects including math, English, social studies, and science. Because I'm working with sixth graders in a public school, I have a good grasp of what the DOE expects for the common core. I have also previously tutored high school French and Algebra through my school's chapter of the National Honors Society. I am also fluent in Italian and would be delighted to tutor in that. In the past, I've also helped kids informally study for the SAT. I'm looking for something in the evenings or on weekends. Reasonable hourly fare. Love kids, love getting excited about school!
