Tutor in West Hartford, Connecticut

Currently, I am an experienced Leveled Literacy Intervention Program Tutor for the New Haven Public Schools District, where I work with students in grades 2nd through 4th to improve their instructional levels in reading. I have also previously worked for the Meriden Public Schools district as an Intern/Substitute, where I performed various tasks including helping to improve students reading proficiencies. As a current, graduate student at the University of New Haven, my hopes are to obtain my Teacher’s Certification and become an Elementary School Teacher. Areas of Experience and skills include, but are not limited to: phonics, word work, reading comprehension, phonemic awareness inventories, phonics inventories, executing 30 minute reading comprehension lesson plans, sight word drills, fluent in Spanish, and leveling books. Other qualifications and references may be available upon request. My hours of availability include: Monday through Friday: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday – Sunday: Available anytime.
