Tutor in New York, New York

My name is Sarah Greenberg and I am looking for an after- school tutoring position. I have my Masters in General Childhood Education and Special Education (Learning Disabilities), and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton. I am currently a teacher at Stephen Gaynor School, a school for children with learning differences. I implement lesson plans in all subjects, manage and control classroom behavior, and interact with students in order to assess and develop their social and linguistic skills. Prior to working at Stephen Gaynor School I was working at The Shaaray Tefila Nursery School, where I introduced 2-year olds to their first school experience. I also have a tutoring experience in reading and math, where I planned hands- on activities and games to further learning outside of the classroom for a student twice a week. In all of these experiences I have learned many creative ways to teach elementary- aged children. I am a New York State Certified teacher and I am CPR certified. My passion is children and I enjoy teaching them in the educational setting as well as engaging them in cultural experiences.
