Tutor in Staten Island, New York

Hello...I am offering tutoring services for children ranging from grades prek - 8th grade. During my tutoring sessions, I would be doing all homework with the children completely and correctly. I would also be helping them study for upcoming tests they have coming up so they are well prepared for their test day. We will also work on school projects that come up during the course of the school year. We also will be reading age appropriate books on a daily basis. I have been a paraprofessional, Level 3 Teacher Assistant, for 10 years and I am currently attending night classes at the college of Staten Island to finish up my teaching degree to become a teacher for the Dept. of Ed. I am looking to utilize my teaching skills while I put myself through college. Teaching children to thrive and stand out in these ever evolving generations is what I do best. It's what I truly enjoy doing in life besides being a mother to my two year old son. Now that the school year has just begun, your children will soon start coming home with tons of homework, plenty of books to read, many tests to study for and eventually school projects as well! For just $12.00/hour (or for siblings a $10.00/per hour special each child), after school Monday-Friday, I am available to be of service to all of your children's academic needs. I am available anytime after your child gets out of school until whatever time you want/need them to be picked up. I am also available during the weekends and some nights by appointment if necessary. I want you and your child both to feel as comfortable with me as possible. I want us to develop the type of professional relationship where we can trust and rely on each other for help and support. As a paraprofessional and a parent, I know how overbearing it can become to keep up with all the homework, studying, reading as well as school projects that our children come home with everyday. My promise to you is that your child will go home every day with their homework completed correctly, their daily reading will be read and any tests that need to be studied and prepared for will be studied and prepared for the day of the test. Also, if there should be any school projects that arise, those will be worked on and handed in on time as well. I have practice workbooks, handouts and all different kinds of engaging activities to keep students interested and focused. I also have reliable resources, references and certifications that I can show you as per request. I live in Staten Island so all Staten Island residents welcome.
