Nicholas Savio I am a senior at Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, California. I have been studying the multicultural language of Spanish for four years including third year Honors Spanish and fourth year International Baccalaureate (IB) Spanish. Not only have I been taught Spanish every year in high school, but I also have studied abroad with American Field Service (AFS) in Costa Rica last summer. Learning a second language is fun and exciting, but challenging and difficult at the same time. The high school Spanish curriculum is setup to introduce Spanish as a secondary language for primary English speakers. Unlike most tutors, I excel in instructing high school students because I have been through the process of learning the language from English to Spanish. I also carry the techniques and strategies for receiving outstanding grades. This makes me vastly more compatible and empathetic when dealing with beginning students who are in need of some outside support.
