I am currently a Columbia University Masters student in the Teaching of English program offering tutoring services for any sort of writing, for all ages: personal statements, college essays, academic/student writing, etc. I am a half-white, half-Asian American with fluency in Mandarin Chinese. Qualifications: - 8 years experience private and public tutoring K-Masters students - 3 years tutoring for personal statements online and in-person, with student entering her top choice school - Accepted into UC Berkeley for undergrad - Currently pursuing M.A. in Teaching at Columbia University - 4 years experience working at academic enrichment schools (補習班) A few among many success stories: - Jessica, high school student got into top choice university. - Dan, undergraduate student who was ELL in a native English composition class, was scoring higher than most of his peers on his essays by the end of the semester. - Jacob, an eight-year-old, couldn't concentrate and would not do any work, but by the end of the summer he was scoring higher on his tests, and he was so engaged that his parents sent me a thank you card with extra money enclosed.
