English Service: I am offering a tutoring service for those who want to practice and improve their spoken English. This service is for people whose native language is not English but can speak some basic English. I am not providing English as a Second Language tutoring (learning from scratch) or English for absolute beginners. I have experience teaching spoken English to university students (whose major was not English) and some children in China. As a result I also speak some basic Mandarin Chinese. I have created and used different teaching materials for this subject, including class presentations, student projects/presentations and different entertainment (songs, TV shows, movies) to be used for studying. Computer Service: I can teach you how to operate and maintain your computer, as well as how to use many different programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) programs. I have extensive professional and personal experience providing computer repairs and teaching. I have taken college classes on Microsoft Office and used to work as a computer specialist at London . I have previously been subcontracted to provide computer training to help provide office job skills for clients. I have some materials for Microsoft Office so students practice and use their skills on their own time. I can also teach you how to use devices such as iPads and smartphones. I cannot provide tutoring for Mac computers. General Information: My teaching experience also includes teaching middle school, high school and college students how to make business plans in a workshop and presentation setting. I charge $15/hr for both of my services, however I require a minimum $30 deposit upfront for computer services (which will be used towards the first two hours of tutoring). I only provide service in the City of Penticton and do not have a place to host classes.
