Most recently, I was a traveling teacher. I was able to work with students who came from various cultures and spoke various languages. I was able to simultaneously balance up to 14 individual learning programs. Although the students were mostly at the same grade level, they were at various stages of their program. That being said, I was able to provide small group and whole group instruction that was suitable for the various stages. For those at the beginning stages of their program, this instruction was delivered in a more intensive format. For those toward the end of their program, it allowed for further review and application of the learning topics. Prior to this position, I was a tutor at Huntington Learning Center. I primarily taught K-12 English Language Arts and K-8 Math. Over the course of my employment, I was able to hone my ability to differentiate instruction. Based on the preference and learning style of each student, I incorporated various teaching methodology to meet their individual needs.I also provided regular feedback and tips for how to better understand the learning material.
