am passionate about helping students because I have a child with dyslexia. I also obtained my own ACT goals with the help of a private tutor which is why tutoring is near and dear to my heart. I am employed at elementary school as a full time degreed tutor and spend my free time teaching and tutoring students who need additional help and support outside of school hours. I have earned passing scores on the Praxis content knowledge exams in the state of Louisiana, which are required by all certified teachers. I was exempt from the core Praxis exams in my state due to my ACT scores. I received a TOPS scholarship to attend UL-Lafayette and graduated college with double majors in both Finance and Management with a minor in Accounting. I am currently working on obtaining an alternative teaching degree in my state. I enjoy tutoring all subjects including math and ELA. I believe learning the way to get the answer on your own in more important that simply getting the correct answer.
