Tutor in Athens, Georgia

SAT Prep | College Application Prep | Private Tutoring Affordable service for our community. To put it bluntly, Athens is over 38% impoverished, and according to the local Boys and Girl's Club website, some 71% of CCSD students come from economically disadvantaged households. Black and Brown students make up over 75% of both Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central High School. All while Prince Avenue and Athens Academy students can, overwhelmingly, afford expensive private tutoring. Some of these rates exceed $50/hr tutoring and $1000 for month-long SAT prep sessions. That is in addition to what the parents of those students are already able to pay for tuition. Education and pursuit of it, as the supposed "great equalizer", should not be dependent on income. I am offering summer SAT Prep help, College Application guidance (including financial aid literacy), and subject-specific private tutoring so that our students have the space to focus on the tests/improvement before the stress of other classes begin in August.
