Tutor in North Richland H, Texas
Hi, my name is Richard. I am 22 and have been working as a tutor since I began my undergrad coursework at UTA in 2010. I began working as a tutor with the Non-profit organization Big Thought where I worked with 2nd-6th graders for two years. For the past year I have tutored independently primarily working on mathematics and reading skills, however as a Biology major my passions and area of expertise expand to many other subjects as well. My primary goal in tutoring is to make sure that students understand what they're learning without solely memorizing. I use visual, hands on, and oral teaching methods to make sure that my students become familiar with their specific learning styles, that way they know how to utilize them at school as well. Not all students learn the same way, so I believe that there should not be a one size fits all teaching approach. If you believe that I will make a good instructor for your child or simply have questions, then please contact me at (214)519.... We can discuss your child's situation and create a plan that will guarantee their academic success. I can work at your house or at the library(hours will vary). I charge $20/hour for single students, and for groups of up to 3 students I charge $15 per student.
