Hi there! I am a high school senior, with an intended undergraduate double major in biology and neuroscience. I am pursuing a career in medicine, and for my senior internship I currently work at the Jarvis Laboratory at Rockefeller University, and I also have prior work experience in other scientific research settings, laboratories, retail, and more. I am an Honors student with a current 100% term average, 33 ACT score, and am the author of several original and innovative projects, including an approach to determining a patient's prognosis using calculus, and a novel way to defeat a deadly form of brain cancer. I have experience working with ages 5-12, specifically with help in elementary and middle school math, science, reading, and writing. As someone who was forced to self-teach and bring my own failing grades up to perfect scores, I understand that many students' grades suffer not because they aren't bright or intelligent, but because the content they are expected to learn seems intimidating or impossible, and they simply need a little bit of help to interpret it in a clearer and simpler way, and develop study strategies that they will go on to use throughout their entire academic career.
