Tutor in Kennewick, Washington

Hello Tri-cities, My name is Keith. I recently graduated from pharmacy school and I moved out here to for an opportunity at a local pharmacy. I'm new to the area and am looking to get involved in the community! I was a tutor in college for chemistry. I took the AP Chemistry test in 11th grade and got a 5. I am naturally gifted at explaining difficult concepts in an easily understandable way, individually suited to the learning style of each particular student. I understand that everyone learns differently and am more than willing to adapt my style to the needs of the student. I think most people believe chemistry is a tough subject on the surface (and rightfully so), but once its core concepts are understood, then the material can be as natural as riding a bicycle. I can be as patient as I need to be, but if learning is of the highest priority, then I can easily accommodate. I know when to push someone, but more importantly, I know when someone just needs to take a break for the day. TUTOR SUBJECTS: High School Chemistry, Preparing for AP Chemistry, College-level General Chemistry I-II (100 level) SECONDARY SUBJECTS: I am open to tutoring other areas of study as well, at the high school level. Perhaps general studying habits or tips on writing. I may need some brushing up on certain subject areas but I was an excellent student in high school. I took the following AP tests with corresponding grades: AP English Literature - 4, AP U.S. History - 5, AP Statistics - 4, AP Calculus - 5. I took all honors classes starting from 9th grade till senior year. I also took a few IB tests, but I can't recall the scores on those. FEE: $25/hour (this is negotiable) HOURS: My work schedule is currently fluctuating, but is set two weeks in advance so appointments can be made with reasonable advance. (I can send a google calendar doc once we get in contact). LOCATION: My apartment, your residence, or anywhere public works for me - perhaps a local library.
