Hi, my name is Silvio Lioniello and I have a strong passion for teaching and helping students grow to achieve the highest possible results. I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto pursuing a degree in biology. My main focuses are genetics, molecular biology and physiology but I have been exposed to a variety of different subjects throughout my years. My tutoring style will focus on problem solving and a deeper understanding of the subject, rather than just memorization. With every student I tutor, I aim to provide the best service possible by providing them with practice tests, extra problems, study tips and organizational tips. My focus is not in a single subject; if I am hired to tutor a student in math and one day they need help on their english homework or any other subject I will be more than happy to assist them on that as well. I aim to provide a full tutoring experience to my students so it is as if they have access to a teacher 24/7. Currently I have experience tutoring the following subjects: --> Grade 5-12 Mathematics: This includes any level of high school math, whether it is grade 9 applied mathematics or grade 12 calculus and vectors. I have had experience with all of these subjects and will be able to teach concepts to a high degree. --> Grade 5-12 Science: These subjects, especially biology and genetics, are my true passion. I can assist any student at any level with learning new and challenging science concepts. This includes any of the following topics: biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, anatomy, physiology, genetics, molecular biology, ecology, biochemistry, optics, and more. --> Grade 5-12 English: At all levels many students are still trying to develop their own writing abilities and style. I can assist students with writing papers, grammar, poetry, shakespeare, short stories, etc. My tutoring experience ranges from tutoring in a high school facility to a one-on-one home environment. Accommodations can be made to meet in public areas, such as a local library, or I can meet in the students home (dependent on distance and travel time).
