I have experience teaching English as a Second language in Busan South Korea, to both adults and to children. I have also taught ESL here in the states at a private college where we focused on grammar, conversation, listening skills, and more. Currently, I have an ESL company in Atlanta, Georgia. What distinguishes Sky High English LLC is that our customized ESL lessons are not limited to books, but include a variety of experiential hands-on activities. Our methods are unconventional because we: -Take clients on field trips that immerse them into American culture and allow them to practice listening and speaking skills. For example, we took a student to a local pharmacy where they practiced filling a prescription and talking to a pharmacist. -Simulate real-life everyday situations through in-class activities such as doing “role play.” For example, a student is given a scenario card to make a complaint at a restaurant, while another student acts as a waiter. -Use video clips, news articles, and a variety of books to enhance English skills. Such as using a movie clip to introduce and practice English expression in dialogue.
