I believe that everyone has the capability to achieve great educational heights, and I also am of the belief that math is a fundamental skill that can serve a person for life. I know that I would be a great math tutor because I can easily connect with kids. I spent a summer as a camp counselor teaching children new outdoor skills and building their confidence in a setting far from home. Because my mother is a teacher I grew up around sayings like "work smarter not harder" and I have a developed toolbox of study strategies just waiting to help someone with math. Last year as a Junior in high school I scored a 5 (the highest possible score) on the AP Calculus AB test so I am good at high level math and would be able to help with any elementary and middle school level math as well as Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2 and Trig (aka precalc).
