My love for teaching and help comes from having the ability to do so. As salutatorian of my HS graduating class, a honors college student and a mentor to alot of youth, I believe that learning isn't a capability but a skill that is in constant growth. As a tutor and mentor I've had the pleasure to watch so many young people meet academic goals, personal goals and even gain the confidence to set more and higher goal. I specialize in tutoring grades K-12 in Math from simple math to Advance Algebra & Trig, Science (physical to physics), English (All including Essay Writing), Social Studies (U.S., African American and World) , & I even offer ACT Prep in English , Reading, & Writing. I focus on helping the student gain knowledge and understanding of the subject while also having the confidence to later display it. I periodically assign homework after each session & give small assessments to ensure that the student is gaining the proper understanding of the subject. I am generally available for tutoring Monday through Wednesday during the week from 2pm to 8pm and 8am to 11:30am Saturday & Sunday. I prefer to do ACT prep during the week because I am available for more time but I do offer both services on either set of days. I am willing to travel to the student or meet in a public place. My base rate is $40/hour for regular sessions and $60/hour for ACT Prep. I do offer discount packages. Contact me for details!
