Hello! My name is Brittany and I have recently moved to the Del Mar and Solana Beach Area. I offer professional tutoring and behavior coaching for elementary school students (K-6). I graduated with my Business Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, but my passion is helping children reach their full potential. I previously worked as an Assistant Site Supervisor for the YMCA's Primetime program and I have worked as an Inclusion Aide (Behavioral Coach) for Youth and Family Services at Ocean Beach Elementary. In these settings I have learned that different students have different learning requirements and it’s important to adjust my tutoring to the specific needs of the student and family. My goal for each of my students is to implement a custom plan so he or she has the right tools to excel in school. My plans are based on personal accountability and consistent expectations. I have also successfully addressed a range of behavioral areas including; • Anger Management • Expressing and Understanding Feelings • Self-Esteem Building • Stress and Anxiety • Bullying (for both aggressor and victim) • Dealing with losing/Sportsmanship • Tattling versus Reporting • Problem Solving I believe that success in academics is also correlated with success in social skills and behavior. My hourly rate is $25 for both tutoring and behavior coaching. I tutor in all of the elementary school areas including reading, writing, math and science. I provide many of my own materials and offer activities designed for positive behavior. I have a valid drivers license and my own transportation, and am able to offer a flexible schedule. I can meet in your home, mine, or a public location such as a library. Giving students the tools they need to be successful in academics and life is my passion and I look forward to the opportunity in being part of your student’s team.
