I love to teach, to learn and children! I am a retired teacher of 16 years. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (k-9), at Kansas State University, I took graduate courses at the University of Kansas and Kennesaw State University for the Exceptional Student In the Regular Classroom. I was a substitute teacher for three years in Kansas City and then taught full time in the Atlanta area for the remaining 13 years. I've taught children of all races, economic backgrounds, some with disabilities and others without. I have taught children that speak fluent English to those who have entered my classroom only knowing a few English words. With that being said, I believe ALL children are capable of learning. Some students are visual learners, some are auditory and others are kinesthetic learners. Yet some do better with a combination of teaching styles. I will make sure that your child's tutoring session will be individualized. I will make sure your child has a positive experience so their self-confidence as well as skill set will improve.
