Hi, my name is Anne Mizzo and I have been tutoring for 15 years. I am a teacher of first grade: Math & Reading Specialists; and seventh grade specializing in Math and Reading. I have taught most grade levels and if one explanation does not work, I have different approaches/explanations that will. I also help prep for the ACT Test. I have a BA in Elementary Education (grades K -8) and a MA in Early Education (nursery- K). I would love the opportunity to work with your child! I communicate well with children and am certified in Grades Nursery School to Grade 8. I live and work in all of Sarasota and am willing to travel to South Bradenton. I prefer to tutor where it is quiet. Many parents opt for the nearest library or my villa. I am presently tutoring a fifth and seventh grader. I do summer tutoring & Swimming Lessons ( I had my own swimming business). You would need to have water access....pool. To begin tutoring, I start with an evaluation of your child's basic skills. In reference to her grade level. Any papers, books, quizzes, tests and teacher evaluations are a great aid. If wanted, I will speak to your child's teacher and anyone who assists her in her school work. A phone call will open the door (941-400...). And a personal meeting to say hello, and acknowledge what is needed to help your child succeed and have more confidence with his/her school work.
