Tutor in Ware, Massachusetts

Hi, my name is Ariel K. I am a senior in high school attending and living in Ware, MA. I have had four years of childcare experience at locally owned daycare, Ducks in a Row (recently closed-located in West Springfield). I am CPR certified and first aid certified, also I have taken a life guarding class and can teach kids to swim during the summer months. I love animals and have had two dogs and three cats as well as numerous fish. If you do have animals, I can walk/and feed them if instructed to do so. I have house sitting and dog sitting experience as well for the past three years for multiple couples. I have worked with dogs that needed morning and afternoon medications, dogs with UTIs, and cats that needed extra attention. I can prepare meals (such as grilled cheese, pasta and broccoli, french toast casserole, beans and burgers, ect. or snacks like apple wedges and peanut butter, ants on a log, finger sandwiches-as well as baby food and formula) and do light housework (such as laundry, dishes, sweeping, dusting- as well as picking up after any messes the children make obviously). I have watched over and cared for children of newborns to 14 years old. At the daycare we could often teach infants and toddlers basic sign language phrases to enhance communication and care (phrases such as "more", "milk", "eat", "toilet") I have also helped younger kids around 4-12 with reading, writing, and math. I am a B average student, in all honors/AP classes. I can tutor and provide homework help to older students. I love to do arts and crafts. I think the arts are a great way for kids to express their individuality and better their cognitive skills. I have been a member of my schools drama department for six years, and have been in four productions. I have also helped out on a mural on one of the walls at my old school in West Springfield, and took two years of piano classes. I like to paint, write, and sing in my free time, when I'm not babysitting, studying, or hiking with my friends. I also do outdoor games- I was a member of the competitive swim team and soccer team for four years, cheerleading for two years, and took dance for five. I also like to take kids on excursions (such as to the park, local ice cream shops, library, local pool- with parents consent of course). During the summer months, I can work afternoons, date nights, and weekends (I have a previously made arrangement to sit for another family weekday mornings exclusively). During the school year, I can work from 3pm till around 1am on weeknights and anytime including overnight stays on the weekends, as well as any times during school vacations.
