Tutor in Rochester, New York

Hi, I am an experienced elementary school teacher with 9 years in the field. All in elementary school and specifically 4th - 6th grade. I also have over 20 years experience working with individuals with varying disabilities (learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities, autism, AD/HD). I am VERY accustomed to presenting concepts in multiple ways, tailoring the learning to the learner. I am also proficient with interpreting and translating common core material for both learners AND their parents so that parents can provide ongoing support where they may have felt helpless in the past. While the bulk of my experience is in upper elementary I can tutor most subject areas and grades and currently I am tutoring a woman supporting her acquisition of her GED. I typically use music and other mnemonic devices to support retention of concepts (who will ever forget the A, B, C song? Same principle). This is a service for which I normally charge anywhere from $30-$40 an hour. I am willing to provide/barter a 1.5:1 ratio of my service for a tattoo by an experienced artist. For example, if you would normally charge $200 for the tattoo we consult on together, I would provide you $300 of tutoring. This great deal comes with a high expectation of artistry and commitment on the artist's part including all phases of the tattooing process from consultation on initial design, pre-drawing and application. As any tattoo artist knows, these things are for LIFE so I'm not looking for a "walk in," quick tattoo. I want something very specific and very meaningful to me. I would imagine that the tattoo would be no larger than the size of say a playing card to a coffee mug but not necessarily in those shapes. I would want some color and layering/dimension work but nothing too terribly intense. I can provide examples and references for my work and you should as well. Again, I'm not looking for an impulse experience. This tattoo will represent a significant life changing event I'm going through and I want it, well, done perfectly or as close as possible. The right artist knows his/her own skill and talent and isn't afraid to represent and showcase his/her capabilities. I want someone with a bit of an ego about their work. I have one about teaching. I'm very good at what I do and I have no issue with saying that. While I don't mind travel, I would ask that we make the tutoring blocks 90 minutes minimum and the tattoo service 1-4 visits. It would be ideal to combine these tutoring/tattooing days on a weekend. I look forward to this process
