Tutor in Cranston, Rhode Island

I have been teaching and tutoring in diverse environments for over three years. My areas of interest include but are not limited to: English and ELA assignments, ESL, writing for classes or standardized tests, and public speaking. I just graduated summa laude from Syracuse University, having majored in philosophy and English. I have taught middle school, high school, and college students, but I am open to working with a different grade level on a case by case basis. In Syracuse, I taught creative writing lessons consistent with the New York State Common Core. This curriculum, composed of progressive lesson plans, helped students with their writing and public speaking abilities while also teaching them the material required for their ELA exams. I also tutored ESL students at a high school in the city. In my spare time I enjoy writing fiction, and I have had some of my work appear in national magazines. I am also an accomplished public speaker, as I was selected to give the senior address at my college's graduation. So in addition to having the relevant teaching experience, I am also practicing in the fields I tutor, making me the most capable person to help with these subjects. I just moved to Cranston last week. My schedule is very flexible, and I am willing to travel to a convenient location for a tutoring session.
