Hello! I am an experienced teacher and tutor. I have a Bachelors Degree in Natural Sciences and am currently working on a Masters degree in Special Education. In addition to teaching at a public high school, I have been tutoring online for approximately 3 years. I tutor all students regardless of their level. I also specialize in tutoring students who have fallen behind in school, particularly those who have a learning disability such as dyslexia and/or have ADHD. I am well rounded and have the ability to help students (elementary through high school) struggling in math, reading, and writing succeed. I can also assist high school and adult students who need help passing the GED (general education diploma)exam. So what will our sessions look like? During the first session, I always assess my student by finding out their individual strengths, weaknesses, learning style and preferences. Then I develop a customized tutoring plan based on what I determine. I do this because over the years I have learned that every student is different and learns differently, so a one size fits all plan does not always work. Identifying my students’ learning style is what works best. After the initial session, we will simply implement the plan and make changes if necessary. I believe that all students can learn and I love it when my students finally have that aha moment.
