Tutor in Reading, Pennsylvania

I am a third grade teacher in the number one school in the Lehigh Valley. My school has consistently scored over 90% advanced or proficient on the PSSA. Although I teach in the Lehigh Valley, I reside in Berks County, in Muhlenberg. I have been teaching for 19 years and have a Masters Degree in Education. Reading- I have strong and extensive training in guided reading, and have the materials and knowledge needed to help your child raise his/her reading levels. I have extensive knowledge of Common Core reading practices. I use close reading to improve comprehension skills and text dependent analysis to dig deeper into the text. Math- If your child is having trouble in math I can help strengthen his/her problem solving and general math skills. I have the most experience working with first-third grade students. Writing- Writing is one of favorite subjects to teach, and I have many techniques and strategies to make writing a less stressful time for your child.
