I am called, "Teacher Bill", and my full name is Bill Montgomery. I am Canadian born and raised, University educated and Oxford certified for teaching all levels of English. I also teach the sciences, socials, Citizenship, and Business. If music is also desired, I teach Piano and Guitar. I have studied the following: Medicine, Engineering, Chemistry, and Teaching. I have had three companies of my own in the past and have taken up teaching in my latter years here as I find teaching more rewarding than anything I've ever done. Although I teach many subjects, my specialty is English at all levels for reading, writing, listening, speaking, or just conversation. I also prepare ESL/ELL students for English testing to get into a Technical school, College, or University by preparing them for LPI / IELTS / MELAB / TESOL / TESL / TEFL / CAEL / SATS / LSATS Further to this I also focus on developing reading speed and comprehension to help students get through learning material quicker with good retention. Along with this my students learn how to take effective notes so they can study less and get higher marks along with study techniques to help them retain more for long term use. I have studied at University of Alberta, Edmonton, University of Calgary, UBC and Oxford seminars. In conjunction with this I have learned that experience is the best teacher and I engage my students interactively by giving them a personalized curriculum to satisfy their needs by addressing their current status and future ambitions as well as accommodating their learning style.
