I am an experienced tutor with over 25 years of working with children of all ages in both the classroom setting and one-to-one. I have taught English as a Second Language outside of the USA. Other experience includes a working wide variety of environments, from the traditional classroom to day camp to personalized private lessons in the student's home. My specialties are language arts, reading, writing, spelling, phonics, etc. in elementary and junior high grades, as well as ESL for both adults and children. At this time, I am working with children from at least seven different countries. For me, getting to share the love of our cultures is an unbeatable opportunity. I believe in making lesson time fun and interesting. It's important to me to keep the students' attention, and I do this is by being creative and by maintaining a positive atmosphere. I try to look for the strong points in all students. I look forward to the privilege of working with you or your child soon. Currently, I also work in an academy for assisting students of all ages with reading, writing, grammar, and preparation for examinations such as the SSAT, ISEE, and SAT. I frequently assist persons wishing to take the TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC (or other type of English language exam such as the Michigan Certificate of Proficiency). I would love to share my experience with you or your child. Additionally, I have passed the CBEST with high scores. I believe that furthering one's education is a lifelong process and strongly encourage students to continue learning for as long as life allows.
