I am 2014 graduate of Harvey Mudd College, a well-reputed technical school in Claremont, California, currently looking for part-time work as a tutor in the Charlottesville/Scottsville area. I currently have experience tutoring 7 to 20 year-olds in math and the sciences, from intro through university level. I have worked independently, as a volunteer at school-sponsored science-fair preps, and, during my last year in college, for a professional service. Although I majored in chemistry (B.S.), I also took five semesters of post-calculus math, as well as advanced physics and biology courses. For this reason, and because of my prior experience working especially with high school kids preparing for AP's, I feel very confident working across these subjects. Additionally, I'm fluent in French and feel comfortable tutoring in this and other humanities subjects K-12. During my time working for the tutoring service, most of the kids I worked with were focusing on pre-calc math (geometry, trig, algebra II), chemistry (AP and regular), and biology (AP and regular).
