I am a third year student at FSU pursuing my bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (GPA 3.85). My area of specialty is math tutoring (from basic elementary math and middle school algebra through college-level calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra). I also offer services in science, reading, writing, SAT prep, and guidance through the college application process (was accepted into all Florida universities, Vanderbilt, and Rice). Why me? My career goals focus on the intersection between science, technology, and education. I long to become a professor one day because of the experiences that I have had through tutoring. It is more than just a job to me, it's an opportunity to impact the way one views different subject matter. I have been tutoring peers since I was in middle school, and it's something that I truly enjoy doing. My approach is to make sure that the student truly grasps the material. I'm not going to make you run through a million practice problems if you don't understand the fundamentals of what you are doing. Everyone learns differently. If my way of explaining something doesn't click, we'll find another one.
