Tutor in Moreno Valley, California

I started tutoring elementary students right after I graduated and have been doing so ever since. In the past five years, I have substitute taught grades K-8 and taught my own class of 3rd graders for three years. I specialize in math, but tutor other subjects as well. This past year I started tutoring in executive functioning for middle school and high school students. My favorite moments of tutoring are when things finally click for a student and all of a sudden it doesn’t seem as difficult. I love hearing about how school is going for them and what they love most about it. I know it can be difficult to keep a student focused when they aren’t comfortable with someone, so I make it a point to take some time to get to know them when we first meet. If you are interested in working with someone fun and outgoing, then I am the tutor for you! You can expect some friendly conversation and maybe even a few giggles! I will do my best to engage the student in the topic and keep them focused so we can accomplish as much as possible during our session.
