Hello! I am a former high school math teacher with experience teaching Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Math Applications, and Trigonometry classes at CCSD high schools, as well as extensive substitute teaching experience. I loved my teaching job and loved interacting with students and helping them understand math. I've left the profession to run a passion-project small business, but still enjoy tutoring students. In addition to the above topics, I am comfortable tutoring pre-calculus, middle school math, calculus, computer science, C/C programming, MATH95 - MATH 283 college level courses, and standardized testing ACT/SAT prep. As a teacher and a tutor, I focus on a deep, conceptual understanding of topics, and the problem-solving process. When tacking practice problems, I stress a procedural understanding by the student, and embrace mistakes as a learning opportunity. I can provide practice problems for any high school topic and workbook pages for test preparation.
