I will tutor or mentor the homeless for free, and I offer a sliding scale for those who are not homeless. The first afternoon or evening is free. I went to Columbia as an undergraduate and received a 3.92 GPA. I double majored in psychology and neuroscience. I have significant experience tutoring and working with kids and teens, and I have taken three developmental psychology/neuroscience courses. I can tutor or mentor within any culture or religion, while at the same time,supporting the existing cultural or religious practices. I can travel to anywhere in the 5 boroughs. As for mentoring, I have endured extraordinary darkness and pain, and I am an old soul / deep thinker. I can help people overcome challenges and face life with an effective outlook. I can tutor any subject from preschool to high school, except non-English languages. For college students, I can tutor most intro courses, including calculus 1, chemistry 1 and 2, biology 1, writing,and philosophy. I can tutor any level of psychology and most neuroscience courses. I also offer help with essays, college applications, the SAT, state tests, general test taking/preparation skills, and how to learn/think effectively. I look forward to tutoring or mentoring!
